Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (Will Ferrell & Adam McKay)

Having left San Diego for New York City, Ron Burgundy is living the high life with his wife Veronica Corningstone and son Walter Burgundy. However, when the boss decides to promote Veronica to full time lead anchor and fire Ron, everything changes. Now heading back to San Diego, Ron is washed up and working part time at Sea World. However, his shot at redemption comes in the form of a man named Freddie Schapp - an executive producer at the Global News Network, the world's first 24-hour round the clock news channel. He hires Ron, who proceeds to reunite the news team of Champ, Brick, and Brian, and head back to New York City. While there, Ron and his news team are given the graveyard shift and a challenge. Ron comes up with a radical new idea to transform the news, which puts him at the top of the game once again.

Starring: Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, Christina Applegate, Dylan Baker, Meagan Good, Judah Nelson, James Marsden, Greg Kinnear, Kristen Wiig, Fred Willard, Harrison Ford, Eliza Coupe, Sacha Baron Cohen, Marion Cotillard, Will Smith, Kirsten Dunst, Jim Carrey, Tina Fey, Liam Neeson, Amy Poehler, John C. Reilly, Vince Vaughn, Kanye West

My thoughts on this film: I liked the first movie a lot, however, as funny as the second one might have been, it was not as good. But then again that is the problem with sequels, it is always hard to live up to the first movie.
I also think they made Brick too retarded. His character was funnier in the original film.
Overall, this is a fun movie to watch, but the first one is a lot better!

Anchorman: The legend of Ron Burgundy (directed and written by Adam McKay and Will Ferrell)

In 1970s San Diego, journalism was a well respected profession and people actually cared about what they saw on TV. And the top rated anchorman in the city was Ron Burgundy. And his news team was equally as good as he was. Professional jock and former professional baseball player Champ Kind handled the sports, the curiously dim witted Brick Tamland handled the weather, and ladies' man Brian Fantana handled the on-field reporting. However, the TV station Burgundy works for has embraced diversity and hired a beautiful new female anchor named Veronica Corningstone. While Ron Burgundy and the rest of the news team enjoys fighting with competitors, drinking, and flirting with the ladies, Veronica quietly climbs her way to the top.

Starring: Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, David Koechner, Fred Willard, Kathryn Hahn, Fred Armisen, Seth Rogen, Judd Apatow, Jack Black, Luke Wilson, Ben Stiller, Tim Robbins, Jerry Stiller, Vince Vaughn

Why I loved this film: This is Will Ferrel up to his usual shenanigans. I laughed the entire way through the movie. However, do not expect a super plot or a twist, it is a simple comedy. But you are bound to laugh so hard that you will not be able to breathe. This movie also features the greatest comedy stars teaming up together to form a perfect icing on a pretty good cake!
