Starring: Will Smith, Eva Mendes, Kevin James, Amber Valletta, Julie Ann Emery, Adam Arkin, Michael Rapaport, Jeffrey Donovan, Kevin Sussman
Why I loved this film: This was pretty funny all the way, but more than that, every woman and every man should see it because through all the funny lines, there are some basic truths about the dating world and all the wrongs that could be made right.
I really believe every guy could get any girl as long as they do not seem overly desperate or simply in search of sex. I even believe they have it easier because it has been proven that there are more women in the world than men - and a lot of singletons. We do not bite or think we are a higher power. We are just as scared as you are, hoping to find true romance - and, yes, we do not believe it either when we give the excuse of focusing on our career at this time, and I know I say that a lot.
There were a lot of clever, deep and funny insights throughout the movie; nevertheless, the ending was pretty stupid.

Starring: Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Seth MacFarlane, Joel McHale, Giovanni Ribisi, Patrick Warburton, Jessica Barth, Aedin Mincks, Patrick Stewart, Norah Jones, Tom Skerritt, Bretton Manley
Why I loved this film: I absolutely loved everything about this movie, from beginning to end - just hilarious!
To begin with, I loved seeing my favourite comedy actors together in a single film: Mark Wahlberg, Joel McHale, Giovanni Ribisi and Patrick Warburton. Although I get the feeling Giovanni Ribisi always ends up playing the same type of roles.
Now on another note, I loved the 80's references, the script is to die for from laughing so much and Teddy is so damn cute that you just keep rooting for him the whole time, even when he screws up - which he does for most of the movie.
The only two things I have to point out is that I did not understand how John found Ted so quickly before the car chase; and this was supposed to be about the magic of a little boy's wish, so it did not make much sense when Lori wished for the same thing.
In general terms, I totally recommend this and will probably see it again someday!

Directed by Andy Tennant, Milo Boyd - a bounty hunter - is paid to do the job of his dreams when he is sent to catch ex-wife, reporter Nicole Hurley, who escaped trial. Milo believes it is in the bag, but nothing is ever easy when this couple come together.
Starring: Gerard Butler, Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis, Christine Baranski, Dorian Missick, Peter Greene, Jeff Garlin, Siobhan Fallon
Why I loved this film: To begin with, two words: Gerard Butler. Now that I have taken that off my chest, I just love the story, it is really original and hilarious. The cast is absolutely amazing. I was laughing out loud from beginning to end!
Even the ending was unexpected. I totally recommend it!

As directed by Paul Feig, Annie's life is a mess. However, when she finds out that her best friend Lilian is tying the knot, Annie must fulfil her maid of honour duties. Although broke and unlucky in love, this maid of honour will show Lilian and the bridesmaids how far you can go for love.
Starring: Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ellie Kemper, Melissa McCarthy, Chris O'Dowd
My thoughts on this film: Honestly, I do not understand the Oscar nominations. In my opinion, this is yet another average comedy - pretty funny, some actually hilarious moments, but nothing unusual - I would go as far as considering it a female version of The Hangover; however, the latter was funnier.
I also hated the happy ending, easiest thing ever! When will writers start thinking of other endings? Been there, done that!
If you are looking for a laugh, this is pretty good, but not the amazing film it is written out to be!

Starring: Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Ken Jeong, Jeffrey Tambor, Justin Bartha, Paul Giamatti
My thoughts on this film: As usual in any sequel, the original was funnier. However, this started slowly but soon picked up the pace, turning into something unseen and hilarious. I only object to the part where the monkey is shot, I am against harming animals in any way - even if it is only acting.
Overall, this was pretty funny and entertaining, but I still prefer the first one.

Directed by Steven Soderbergh, Mike - an experienced stripper - takes a young performer called The Kid under his wing and schools him in the arts of partying, picking up women, and making easy money.
Starring: Matthew McConaughey, Channing Tatum, Olivia Munn, Alex Pettyfer, Cody Horn, Reid Carolin, Joe Manganiello
Why I loved this film: Most women will say "naked men"; But this also has to be part of Matthew McConaughey's best work, it got to a point when the audience would just start laughing every time he spoke.
This movie has everything for all types of audience: naked guys, a romantic story, fighting, and laughs all the way!
I totally loved it!
The 36-year-old was found in his L.A. apartment with an apparent drug overdose, although details surrounding his death remain unclear. The paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Another life taken too soon!

But now Eddie Como, the College Hill Rapist, has been murdered, shot down outside the courtroom moments before his trial was to begin. Jillian, Carol and Meg are openly ecstatic - but they are also the prime suspects in his murder.
Detective Roan Griffin has never had a case quite like this one. Could three ordinary women have been driven to do the unthinkable? Has someone in the Survivors Club become a killer? And then another woman is brutally attacked...
Quote: "In the end, they had a description of a white male who was between five and six feet tall, who might have brown hair, blond hair or black hair, who was either heavyset or rail-thin, who was wearing a ski mask, a Zorro-like mask, a stocking mask or nothing at all, and who may or may not bear a striking resemblance to James Gandolfini's character on The Sopranos."
Why this book speaks to me: Besides the fact that I love crime fiction books, this is one of those stories where you think you know it all at the beginning and by mid-book you realise how wrong you were all the way!
I also like how it deals with sensitive issues such as rape, and pedophiles, as well as consequences for the victims in the long run.
The humour with which it treats journalists and their interference in murder cases is also a good laugh.
Overall, this is a page turner!

Starring: Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Kara Hayward, Jared Gilman, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, Harvey Keitel
My thoughts on this film: I hated the dog's death and some scenes were really awkward, particularly the part where they are discovering sex, which would be fine except for Suzy saying "I think it's hard", and Sam's reply "Does that bother you?" To which she answers "No, I like it."
That part was way too creepy considering their age, I know it is the time when teenagers are becoming acquainted with their sexual feelings, but not like that...
I also thought this should not be considered a Drama, but rather a Comedy, it was very funny and maybe even a spoof of the 60's not to be taken too seriously.
The cast were very good, though.
