Larry Crowne (Tom Hanks and Nia Vardalos)

Until he was fired, affable, amiable Larry Crowne (Played by Tom Hanks, who also directed this film) was a superstar team leader at the big-box company where he has worked since his time in the Navy. Submerged in his mortgage and unclear of what to do with his sudden free days, Larry heads to the local college to start over. There he becomes part of a community of outcasts, all trying to find a better future for themselves... Often moving around town in a herd of scooters.
In his public-speaking class, Larry develops an unexpected crush on teacher Mercedes Tainot, who has lost as much passion for teaching as she has for her husband.
The simple guy who has every reason to think his life has stalled will come to learn an unexpected lesson: when you think everything worth having has passed you by, you just might discover your reason to live.

Starring: Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Sarah Mahoney

Why I loved this film: Besides being hilarious from beginning to end, this movie also gave me hope: when things seem down, when life seems like it cannot get any worse and everything you have hoped for has passed you by, there might be a surprise in the end, although nothing happens without a little persistence and work.
Whatever happens do not give up on your dreams!
