Failure to Launch (Tom J. Astle and Matt Ember)
In this film, directed by Tom Dey, Tripp is a 35-year-old who still lives with his parents. And who can blame him? The room is big, rent-free and his mum does the laundry. However, mum and dad are becoming desperate to have the house to themselves again, leading them to hiring Paula, a charming lady who will be responsible for that special... help. But Tripp surprises everyone when he takes the situation into his own hands!
This is a romantic comedy that shows there is nowhere like home.
Starring: Matthew McConaughey, Sarah Jessica Parker, Zooey Deschanel, Justin Bartha, Bradley Cooper, Terry Bradshaw, Kathy Bates
Why I loved this film: I am a little sick and tired of romantic comedies where guy meets stranger, tries to get her into bed, she resists at first, then they eventually fall in love and have a lovey-dovey ending with a great wedding. Here two strangers still meet and the ending is still lovey-dovey, but the story itself is completely different and hilarious from beginning to end, with many animals claiming stardom: I loved the bird CPR, but my fave part was the dolphin in the end. Just beautiful!
