This film stars James Franco as real-life mountain climber Aron Ralston, who became trapped by a boulder in Robbers Roost, Utah, for more than five days in 2003. It was based on Ralston's autobiography "Between a Rock and a Hard Place" and the script was written by Danny Boyle and Simon Beaufoy, with production by Christian Colson, who previously teamed up for Slumdog Millionaire, and John Smithson.
In April 2003, hiker Aron Ralston was hiking in Utah when a boulder fell on his arm and trapped him in an isolated canyon. Over the following five days, Ralston re-examined the errors of his life as he fought the elements to stay alive, which included the amputation of his own arm.
127 Hours premiered on September 4th in the United States, hopefully it will be in Europe soon.
